ABOUT

lmichelle_croppedOh, hello there!

If you’ve gotten this far, you’ve probably read a few of my articles or followed me on Twitter – so, thank you! My name is Lauren, and I’m the mastermind behind LMichelle Design (well, I’m also the only mind behind it).

So what would you like to know? Perhaps we should start with the basics:

I'm an admirer of words, obsessed with nachos, in love with Scottish Terriers, an empathizer, and the Social Media Manager at First Baptist Church Jacksonville.

I’m an active cosplayer, I was an event coordinator for concerts during my college years (including Ben Folds, Jo Dee Messina, and Stephen Lynch concerts), and I get really excited about analytics. I could go on, but you’ll probably hear about it in a blog post or two.

My love of social media evolved, perhaps not so surprisingly, from my background in graphic design and English. I graduated from the University of North Florida with a dual degree in Graphic Design and English. Shortly after graduating I was brought on as a graphic designer for FBC JAX. Several years later, I’m now in the roll of Social Media Manager. I also spend much of my time volunteering at an animal sanctuary, Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary. My time at Catty Shack is spent giving tours, meeting and greeting visitors, consulting with their social media, and periodically designing content. I also was their webmaster for about five years.

I created this blog as a way to share my experiences with social media marketing, email marketing, design, and nonprofits (I’ll probably throw in some random life advice, too!) It’s my sincere wish that you find my posts to be helpful as you move forward with your marketing journey. If there are topics you feel I should touch on, please let me know!

While I stay fairly busy with work, volunteering, and personal life, I would love to make some time to personally help you as well! If you have a special project you’d like me to work on, just contact me. I’ll be happy to take a look and see what we can work out.
